Founder and Chief Therapist
Shyamala Dhamarla
Shyamala Dhamarla is the founder and chief therapist of Mithrah Holistic Services, an Australian organization dedicated to community and holistic mental health support across Australia, India, and beyond. With over two decades of experience in the community service sector, she is a highly qualified mental health professional.
Her diverse qualifications in psychology, counselling, and social work enable her to operate as a holistic mental health practitioner, offering a unique blend of integrative services within the industry.
Shyamala firmly believes that professionalism should be an extension of humanism, not its extinction. This conviction inspired her to establish Mithrah Holistic Services to address the cultural sensitivities faced by People of Colour, CALD, CARM, and minority communities. As a passionate advocate for justice, equality, diversity, and inclusion, she champions the rights of marginalized groups. She emphasizes the importance of nurturing humanity, regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, or other differences. Diversity, in her view, is a celebration of the unique qualities each individual brings, and she strives to create a space where these differences foster connection and understanding.
