Founder and Chief Consultant
Shyamala Dhamarla Venkata Subba Rao
Shyamala Dhamarla is the founder and Chief Consultant of Mithrah Holistic Services, an Australian organisation dedicated to providing community and holistic mental health support services across Australia, India, and beyond. With over two decades of experience in the community services sector, she is a highly qualified mental health professional.
Her diverse qualifications in psychology, counselling, and social work enable her to practise as a holistic mental health practitioner, offering a unique blend of integrative support services within the sector.
Shyamala firmly believes that professionalism should be an extension of humanism, not its extinction. This conviction inspired her to establish Mithrah Holistic Services to address the cultural sensitivities faced by People of Colour, CALD, CARM, and minority communities. As a passionate advocate for justice, equality, diversity, and inclusion, she champions the rights of marginalised groups. She emphasises the importance of nurturing humanity, regardless of race, religion, culture, gender, or other differences. Diversity, in her view, is a celebration of the unique qualities each individual brings, and she strives to create a space where these differences foster connection and understanding.
