A guru is a combination of teacher and mentor who removes darkness and enlightens learners. Gurukul means a training system where the students learn and hone their strengths through the direct mentoring of a guru. Traditionally students used to stay with gurus and learn directly from them until they were ready.
Gogurukulam is a modern approach to traditional gurukul. We would like to revive this concept suiting the modern age. We use the strength found in Eastern and Western learning systems and want this amazing system to move forward with time. Hence, the Gogurukulam is a program which is enriched with concepts to move along with time and stay ahead.
In this program, the mentor first assesses the students and finds out the strengths, interests and likes of the students along with any challenging issues faced by them.
Based on the individual assessment, a holistic learning action plan will be developed, and a guru-sishya relationship will be established. The action plan will nurture the strength of the student and systematically reduce the challenges faced by the student, and thus help them become self-reliant.
In this program, each child will be allocated a minimum of 2 hours with their mentors and the time can vary depending on the plan the students choose.
The one-on-one session can be arranged online or in person depending upon the location. The fees vary depending on the number of hours a learner is committed to taking.
Please note that this Gurukul concept is blended with both Western approaches and Eastern approaches. We do not enforce any religious or cultural values upon any child. However, people who are not interested in the cultural and spiritual elements of Eastern approaches are advised to make an informed decision by discussing this program with the coordinator.
