The Indian Subcontinent Community Services
Indian Subcontinent Community Services
The Indian subcontinent is a physiographical region in Southern Asia, situated on the Indian Plate, projecting southwards into the Indian Ocean from the Himalayas. Geopolitically, it spans major landmasses from the countries of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Although the terms “Indian subcontinent” and “South Asia” are often used interchangeably to denote the region, the geopolitical term of South Asia frequently includes Afghanistan, which is not considered part of the subcontinent.

Indian Support Center (ISC) is a non-profit, non-government organisation started in March 2015 as an independent body to help resolve community issues in the Indian sub-continent (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) community residing in Australia.
With an abundance of new migrants arriving in Australia, the need for an institution that supports and guides the migrants in making Australia their new home is paramount.
